The holiday season is a time of joy and celebration, but for many hardworking families right here in the Richmond area, it can also bring financial stress. We believe every child in our community deserves to feel the magic of the holidays, and that means waking up to a gift on Christmas morning.
That’s why Red Wing Shoes of Richmond is honored to partner once again with the United States Marine Corps Reserve for their annual Toys for Tots program. As a four-generation, family-owned business, our roots are planted deep in this community. Giving back to the RVA families who have supported us for decades is one of our most important traditions. We hope you’ll join us.
The Mission: A Toy for Every Child
The Marine Toys for Tots program has one simple, powerful mission: to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens.
For decades, the Marines have worked tirelessly to make this happen. But they can’t do it alone. The program’s success depends entirely on the support of local communities like ours. They need our help to collect new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages.
This program is a simple way for all of us to make a huge difference in a child’s life.
How You Can Help
We’ve made it easy to donate! All three of our Red Wing Richmond stores are official drop-off locations for this year’s drive.

- Red Wing of Richmond – Chester
- Red Wing of Richmond – Midlothian
All you need to do is bring a new, unopened, and unwrapped toy to any of our stores during regular business hours and drop it in the official Toys for Tots collection box.
The Marines will be by to collect all the donations on Thursday, December 19th, 2025, so they have time to sort and distribute them to children in need throughout the Richmond area before Christmas.
So, the next time you plan to stop by—whether it’s to get your free monthly boot cleaning, shop for a new pair, or pick up a gift card—please consider bringing a toy with you. Your small act of kindness will make a world of difference to a local family.
